Silly Band Trading

The silly band craze is just that...crazy. The funny thing about my girls loving them is, they don't even wear them! They just like to see what they have and try to trade with each other. It's funny. On this particular afternoon, they ended up in a trading session with the little girls that live next door. I just thought they were playing next door. When I went over to get them they were in a serious trading session! I went back home to get my camera, of course. It was too cute. It just cracked me up that they had their 4 chairs pulled up knee to knee all going through their piles and negotiating their deals! Hilarious!

I love coffee

The morning I took this picture the sun was coming in so bright. The steam from my coffee just looked neat rolling out of my coffee cup.

Butterfly Release

Grace's class raised butterflies this past fall. They had a release party and invited the parents to attend. They prepared several songs to perform for the parents at the release party. They even made cute butterfly hats. They were very cute. Once they had a cute butterfly cake snack they were ready to get the butterflies out. Each student had an orange slice. The butterflies must love orange juice because they stuck to those oranges forever! They were very pretty and the kids had a great time.

This is Delaney, Grace's friend from her class.

Some creative mom, that was NOT me, brought this cute butterfly cake made out of Little Debbie cakes.

Lyla's Class

This is just a class picture that Lyla's teacher emailed back in September.

I'm so far behind!

450 pictures! That's how many pictures I have taken since I blogged last! I'm so far behind. I like to do them in chronological order, so I can't skip everything and blog about putting up our Christmas lights yet. It really bothers me that I've let myself fall this far behind. I don't like getting this far behind because I start to forget the little things about the stories that go along with the pictures. I plan to get caught up over Christmas break!!! I'm REALLY looking forward to Christmas break! I have so many plans in my head. I'll never get them all done, but I'll try. So, if anybody out there is reading this...stay tuned for MANY posts to come between Dec. 20 and Jan 5!

Things always seem better in the morning...

As a follow up to my woe-is-me post from last night, I would like to say that I really have nothing to complain about. Nothing of real importance anyway. Yes, it is hard keeping everything taken care of and balanced while working. I'm not accomplishing everything on my to-do list for sure! That is very hard for me to be OK with . I can't really say that fact is very enjoyable. But, I have a job! Eric has a job! We can pay our bills. I have two healthy kids. I have a nice home (even though I see 50 things I'd like to redo). I have a husband that loves me. I know Jesus loves me. I have a great family and two great sisters that posted encouraging comments (thank you).

I'm just like a child. When I get tired I can't cope with daily life. By about 6pm I'm drained. Everything looks bad, feels bad, is more overwhelming and doesn't seem possible when the sun goes down and everything is in disarray. That is a personality trait that I would love to get rid of . I'm always trying to battle that trait.

But, the mornings feel better. I can appreciate the positive things in my life. I don't want anyone to think I am blind to the blessings in my life. I see them.

By the way, this morning it was the dog wanting food that woke me up at 5am!

Need. More. Time.

It's 9pm. I've been up since 5am when I got a cell phone call from an "inmate at the Rutherford Co. Detention Center". (It was obviously a wrong number) I excercised at 6am. I have more laundry to fold. Four loads have been done and folded but not put away. The floors are filthy. The clutter is building. My youngest keeps getting out of bed. There is a crusty meat loaf dish waiting to be scrubbed. Eric wants me to watch CSI. I have 317 pictures on my camera from October alone. I'm ready for bed. I have to work tomorrow. Will I ever have time to blog again???
