It's a good thing they're cute

Bathtime has never been my favorite time with my girls. I know it should be a fun time of play with your child but it just doesn't feel like that to me. I actually gave the task of bathing the girls to Eric years ago. I clean up dinner while he bathes them. They're just too wild. They want to play, not wash. It's hard to get them cleaned up and out of there without frustration. Now that they're bigger, I can leave them to play in the bathtub by themselves and then just come in to rinse their hair and make them get out. But, the downside is there is no supervision to control their craziness! When I'm downstairs and the noise coming from the upstairs bathroom sounds like a waterpark, it means trouble! It literally sounds like they are at a waterpark! Squeals of delight, water splashing, and a noise that sounds like their barrelling down a waterslide. Then when I go in to get things under control, I find that the entire bathroom is wet! I'm not exaggerating either. The floor, the walls, and the shower curtain are all soaking wet. I mainly let this happen because I'd rather make them dry everything off themselves then sit in there with them and try to control it. This is not the best parenting technique, I realize this. So last week after listening to them in the bathroom for a while I thought I'd sneak in and snap some pictures of what they were doing. They immediately stopped what they were doing so I didn't really get any pictures of their craziness. I got one of Grace through the fog but that was it. Lyla posed more for me. Here they are...two crazy girls that love to make a mess!
