A restored antique

This is Mamaw's old Singer sewing machine. Mamaw Wade is my dad's mother. I didn't even know she had this until last year. We found it in one of Dad's barns. He said he was going to get rid of it and I said I would take it. I intended to refinish it but never got around to it. Eric took on the project a few months ago and finally finished it before Christmas. He took off the top, ugly, orange veneer, then sanded, stained and finished it. The top lifts up and folds over to reveal the old time, black iron Singer sewing machine in the table. I haven't plugged it in to see if it works or not. I like having a little piece of my family history, whether it really works or not.
