Boots and a dress

While I was in TX I had to get Grace and Lyla a little souviner. I bought Grace this dress that looked kind of Mexican. It's adorable on her, especially since she has an awesome tan (despite putting spf 50 on her every day). She's so cute and so willing to pose to please me.
Lyla got a pair of cowboy boots. Shoes are so hard to buy for a child when you don't have the child with you! I debated on which size to get and finally bought a size 11. Then a day later I called Mom and had her measure Lyla's foot. According to how long her foot was it seemed that I actually needed a larger size. So, Eric and I took a trolley back to were I got the boots and exchanged them for a 12. I should have known better since I just bought her new shoes for school and they were 10 1/2. But, I had the length of her foot! Anyway, needless to say, they were way too big. She loved them though. She kept trying to wear them with 2 or 3 pairs of socks on. She kept falling down and everytime she would sit in a chair or try to swing they would just fall right off. So, I took her to get a different pair of boots here in Franklin. There aren't many places to buy boots for kids in Franklin, which I was surprised to find out. She ended up picking out 2 pairs of boots. One pair was gray snakeskin boots that I didn't really care for. The other pair were John Deere camoflauge boots. They were really nice boots and seemed really comfortable so we went with the John Deere. I do have to say that I think she looks pretty cute. But, that night when I tried to take her picture she was in a silly mood and wouldn't pose. What else is new? She did a little song and dance for me in the boots that are too big (the red ones). I'm posting all of these pictures because I think she's funny. I never really did get a good picture of her in the John Deere boots. She better wear these things though, that's all I've gotta say!

She was so proud of those boots, she showed me and Jason numerous times this weekend. Oh, and I think she did that same dance when we were at Dairy Queen yesterday. Haha!
