A Galloway Feast

While we were at Grandma and Grandpa's they had a picnic with some a lot of the extended Galloway family. Grandpa's brother, Dale, and his whole clan came to eat with us. Boy, the Galloways sure can cook! There was so much good food. Aunt Donna Lou brought her famous rolls, which we were all very excited about. What does it mean that we get truly excited about eating rolls? Anyway, they're worth getting excited about! Kendall grilled corn on the cob, the women sat around and talked and passed Elye around, the men sat and talked politics, and the kids ran around and played. I think there were only 4 run-ins with the electric fence. One little boy got it the worst when he ran into it with his cheek. He kept crying saying, "I got bit". That's what country folk call it when you touch a "hot" fence. The kids had a blast and did not want the night to end. Reesi cried that night before bed because she didn't want to go home, and we weren't even leaving the next day. Here are some pictures. There are lots of cowboy hats and boots in this part of the country. The first picture shows how cowboys move their grill from one house to the other. We cracked up when Kendall came driving in the yard with the grill! We had a great time!
