This is Grace on her 2nd day of 1st grade. This is her new teacher, Ms. Hudson. She seems very nice but has a very structured classroom. Grace is having a hard time wanting to go to school right now because Reesi and Lyla aren't in school. I hope once Reesi is in school fulltime (next week) and Lyla is in preschool she won't have such a hard time going.

Oh, that makes me sad:( It is good to hear a parent's side of the story and makes me realize as a teacher I need to pay attention to the more sensitive students.
You tell that little girl that her aunt Julie thinks she is the brightest star out there. Should you talk to the teacher?

Just my opinion but I would talk to the teacher. Not to complain about her, but just to let her know how much pressure Grace puts on herself. I think the teacher would be more sensitive about it if she knew how much it bothered Grace. I can imagine how much it bothers you too...I would feel the same way. Hope things get better soon!
