This week is the last full week of summer break. Grace starts school next Thursday and Joni and Larry start on Monday. I'm sad to see the end of the break. We have really enjoyed sleeping late and playing with Reesi and Joni all summer. I like routine but I'm not a morning person. I don't like how early the days have to start when school is in session. My girls aren't really morning people either so it's difficult to get them out the door in the morning. So, we decided to take the girls on one last adventure this week. We took them to the Nashville library to see a marionette puppet show. They produce the best marionette shows I've ever seen. They are really professional and the sets are amazing. The girls loved it! We were some of the last people to leave the theater after the show.
After the show we took them to the Bicentennial Park in downtown Nashville. They have a picnic area and sprinkler park for kids. When we got there Lyla said, "is this all there is?" I guess it wasn't wild enough for her. We ate lunch and then the girls played some more. Once they really got into it they had fun and didn't want to leave.
We left home at 10am and got home at 4pm. It was a full day and we all enjoyed it!
